The Danish Research Council for the Humanities and the Danish Institute in Damascus has sponsored the research, 1995- 1996 &1999. Part of the research was published in a book: “Lubya var en landsby i Palæstina: Erindringer-Historie- Kultur-Identitet”, published by Tiderne Skifter, 2005

Professional experience

 2013-2014: Women Museum in Denmark, senior researcher for project: “Preserving the Cultural Heritage and memories of mandate Palestine-Training and Capacity Building, 2013-2014.
During this period I gave series of lectures in three workshops for museums and university candidates in Ramallah, Hebron and Tulkarem on “Qualitative Research Interviews” and “Oral History and Tradition”.

 2011 -2013: Copenhagen Univ. Senior researcher at Faculty of Theology- & at TORS; Department of Cross-Cultural and Regional Studies-Copenhagen University
Working on raising funds to the exhibition: Duften af Timian”, in addition to writing papers for international conferences in Thessaloniki and Copenhagen Univ. TORS.

 2006 -2010: KVINFO, Women Research Centre and Information: Senior consultant-coordinating common work between Danish women Organisations and Arab Women Organisations in eleven Arab countries.
I was also responsible for four international conferences on gender and equality issues. (See details mentioned in my main publication).I was responsible for a common project with KL in Jordan on (decentralisation and women participation).

 2005: Århus university: Consultant for a project on exhibition: “Duften af Timian” in Moesgård museum in Denmark.

 2004: Danish Refugee Council: Information department.

 2004: Oxford University; A project on “Palestinians in Europe”, a common project with the Danish Refugee Council in Denmark. A series of monographs on each community was published by the International Palestine Institute as a result of the project.

1999: Danish Institute in Damascus; Research scholarship in Damascus, Jordan and Palestine.- Conducting interviews with Palestinians in Syria, Jordan and Palestine.

 1995-1997: Carsten Niebuhr Institute; Post doc, senior researcher. Project on “Lubya was a village in the Middle East”, supported by Danish Research Committee-

Personal Information:  Living in Denmark since 1985. Danish Citizenship in 1990. Single. Three children.
