A comment on “The World After Gaza”, Pankaj Mishra, Fern Press, 2025

Mishra wonderfully analyses the horrors of what is ongoing nowadays in Gaza, from a panoramic view that took in consideration the history of Colonisation, Decolonization, Shoua & Enslavement. In  292 pages, covering three main parts of the book, and 158 bibliography references, Mishra gave us a well founded view of the double morality and double standards of the Western White Elites, and how power, corporate and main media work together to falsify history, only to maintain their dominance & hegemony, without taking care of any moral standard or principles of liberal democracy which they claimed. His last few words on the last page were addressed to the young students who dare to challenge the demagogy of the powerful institutions i US: “Those opposing Israeli acts of savagery, and the Western propaganda by omission and obfuscation, cannot aim for much more. They risk permanently embittering their lives with failure. But their expressions of outrage and feats of solidarity may have somewhat alleviated the great loneliness of the Palestinians. They also hold some hope for the world after Gaza”. p. 280

Mishra’s  book “The World After Gaza” is a courageous landmark achievement in a huge forest of wilderness, violence and atrocities that leaves one on the brink of disbelief & despair. After two atomic bombs and many Holocausts World Wide, the crimes are still perpetuated, without any lessons to learn, especially from the powerful political elites of the Civilised World-. Only those young generations could bear the flame of humanity forward, as Mishra claimed on the last page of the book, to stop the starvation,  slaughter & genocide in Gaza.
